TrønderRein was established in 2020 by Ole Marius Bjugan, inspired by traditional outdoor life and especially the Sámi culture.
TrønderRein offers traditional products with a focus on outdoor life. Our products have a story, making you feel like you’re paying for more than just an item. With us, you get locally sourced and sustainable products with soul.

It all started when we noticed that traditionally dried reindeer hides, used as outdoor bedding, were disappearing from the market. Around 80,000 reindeer are slaughtered in Norway each year. While the meat is distributed worldwide, the hides have become increasingly difficult for slaughterhouses to sell.
For us, it’s essential that the whole animal is utilized. When we saw the demand for dried hides made in the traditional way, we founded TrønderRein and began drying all the hides ourselves here in Trøndelag.
We’ve been working with hide curing since 2016, and on a larger scale with an online store as our sales channel since 2020.
Since then, we’ve gradually built up our product portfolio with other locally sourced, high-quality products from across Norway.
